David Drury, born in 1961 in Australia, is a prominent organist known for his contributions to classical music. He graduated with a B.Mus from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 1984 and began his career as an organist at St James' Church, Sydney. In 1987, Drury won the Improvisation Competition at the St Albans International Organ Festival, marking a significant breakthrough in his career. He has since performed recitals at prestigious venues including Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral, and Notre Dame in Paris. He has also collaborated with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Cantillation. Since 1992, Drury has served as the director of music at St Paul's College, University of Sydney, and is an organist-in-residence at Christ Church Cathedral, Newcastle.
