Quadrophonia, a Dutch/Belgian electronic music collective, was formed in the late 1980s by Olivier Abbeloos and Lucien Foort. The group's initial breakthrough came with their debut single "Quadrophonia", which reached number 14 on the UK charts in April 1991. This success was followed by another top 40 hit, "The Wave of the Future", which charted at number 40 in July of the same year. Quadrophonia's music featured performances by Marvin D (Marvin Tholen). The group released their debut album, Cozmic Jam, later that year. In 1991 and 192, they released several singles including "Find the Time (Part 1)" and "Schizofrenia – The Worst Day of My Life", though these did not achieve significant chart success. Additional singles in 1993 included "Intergalactic Crosstalk (Amazonia)", "Moondance", and "Warp Factor One". Quadrophonia also released remix singles in 1997 and 1998, titled Quadrophonia '97 (Remixes Part 1) and Quadrophonia '98 (Remixes Part 2), respectively. The group recorded under various aliases including CMOS, Holographic Hallucination, and Warp Factor 1. Marvin D later introduced Ray Slijngaard to Phil Wilde and Jean-Paul de Coster, who, along with Anita Doth, formed the group 2 Unlimited.
