Kuruki, a Belgian electronic and rock music group from Ghent, was founded in the early 1980s by Gerry D'Haeyer and Alain Bureau. The band's first release, "Crocodile Tears", became their signature hit and appeared on several compilations. In 1981, they released the EP Such a Liar which included "Crocodile Tears" as well as the 12-inch maxi single of the same name. After extensive touring, Kuruki released another single, "Just a Cat", in 1983. The following year saw the release of three records: the 12-inch Action, recorded with Chris Whitley; the single "Souvenir/Souvenir" and their final album T.V. Scape. In 2010, T.V. Scape was re-released by the Belgian label Onderstroom.
