Casanovas Schwule Seite, a punk rock band from the Cologne area in Germany, was formed in 2000 and consisted of members from two other bands: Claus and Hasan from Knochenfabrik, and Türk and Caddy from Wohlstandskinder. Their music was characterized by extensive guitar solos, rough vocals, and ironic, trivial lyrics laden with clichés. The band released their debut album Das Rock 'n' Roll Imperium schlägt zurück in 2002 on Vitaminepillen Records, a well-known punk rock label. In February 2013, they released the EP Der Mann mit dem goldenen Knie through Trillerfisch Records. Despite their limited concert activity, Casanovas Schwule Seite's biggest hit "Höllenfeuerlicht" was frequently covered by other bands such as Chefdenker and Ausgang Ost.
