Chefdenker, a German punk band from Cologne, was founded in 2002 by Claus Lüer. The group gained prominence within the punk scene across the German-speaking world through extensive touring and performances at major festivals such as Force Attack, Punk im Pott, and Ruhrpott Rodeo. Their debut album 16 Ventile in Gold was released in 2003, followed by the EP Mens sana in corpore sano in August 2004. In 2005, they released their second full-length album, Eine von hundert Mikrowellen. The band's lineup saw changes over the years, including the departure of founding member "The Kollege" before the recording of Coverbands ist die Zukunft, which was released in 2007. Although "The Kollege" returned in 2008, drummer and founding member Billy Luck left after recording Römisch Vier (2010), which featured a collaboration with Axel Kurth from WIZO. Other notable albums include Eigenuran ( 2016), a concept album centered around the theme of canned beer, and Asozialdarwinismus (2022).
