Romi Mayes is a Canadian singer and songwriter who began her career in the 1990s. Raised on classic rock, blues, country, folk, bluegrass, 80s pop, and Motown, Mayes' songwriting and guitar style reflect these diverse influences. She started her music journey as a member of the band Off The Wagon, who released their self-titled album in 1997. Her discography includes the albums Mayes and Carmichael (2004) with Chris Charmichael, Sweet Somethin' Steady (2008), Achin' In Your Bones (2009), Lucky Tonight (2011), and Devil On Both Shoulders (2015). She is a Juno-nominated and seven-time Western Canadian Music Awards winner, including for Songwriter of The Year, Album of The Year, and Blues Artist of The Year.
