Extra Life was an American experimental band from Brooklyn, New York, formed as a solo project by guitarist and singer Charlie Looker. In 2008, the band released their debut album Secular Works after recruiting additional members. They released Made Flesh in 2010, followed by Dream Seeds, which was released in 2012. Extra Life announced their disbandment on November 13, 2012, concluding with a final concert in Brooklyn on January 19, 2013. Extra Life reunited in 2022 to self-release Secular Works Vol. 2. In 2024, the band announced its fifth studio album, The Sacred Vowel, with a lineup featuring Charlie Looker, Toby Driver, David Bodie, and Timba Harris.
