Dan Melchior is an English singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He began his music career with Dan Melchior's Broke Revue, releasing their album This Love Is Real in 1999 on Sympathy for the Record Industry. During their six years of touring, Broke Revue supported notable acts such as The White Stripes and Interpol before disbanding in 2004. After the split, Melchior continued his prolific output with projects like Dan Melchior und Das Menace, releasing albums such as Thankyou Very Much (2009) and Visionary Pangs (2010). He also collaborated with artists like Billy Childish and Holly Golightly. Melchior became a permanent resident in the United States in 1998, first living in Manhattan, New York, before moving to Durham, North Carolina.
