Bachdenkel, a British rock group from Birmingham, England, formed in the late 1960s. The band consisted of Colin Swinburne (vocals and guitar), Peter Kimberley (bass guitar and vocals), and Brian Smith (drums). Bachdenkel emerged from a previous formation called U Know Who, adopting their name through a computer-generated process. Their debut album, Lemmings, was recorded in 1970 but released in 1973 by Philips Records. In 1977, they founded Initial Recording Company to release their second and final album, Stalingrad. Despite critical acclaim, Bachdenkel disbanded shortly after its release. Colin Swinburne passed away on February 24, 2021.
