Arti & Mestieri is an Italian jazz rock and progressive rock band from Turin that formed in 1974. The ensemble was founded by the drummer Furio Chirico and included Arturo Vitale, Gigi Venegoni, Giovanni Vigliar, and Marco Gallesi. They achieved early professional recognition after performing at the Parco Lambro Festival del Re Nudo in Milan and are famous for their debut studio recording, Tilt (Immagini per un orecchio) (1974). Their discography includes the studio recordings Giro di valzer per domani (1975), which showcased a shift toward jazz fusion, Quinto stato (1979), and Acquario (1983). Following a period of individual projects, Chirico reformed the ensemble in 2000. The band has performed at international festivals such as ProgDay (2003) and released the live recording First Live in Japan (2006). Their later work includes the studio recording Universi paralleli (2015).
