Alphataurus is an Italian progressive rock band formed in 1970 in Milan, Italy. Their eponymous debut album, Alphataurus (1973), was followed by a dissolution later that year due to personal events. Recordings from an unfinished second project were released on the compilation Dietro l'uragano (1992). Original members Guido Wassermann and Pietro Pellegrini reformed the group in 2009. They performed at the Progvention 2010 festival in Milan, leading to the release of the live album Live In Bloom (2012). Their second studio album, AttosecondO (2012), appeared later that year. The discography also includes the live DVD and rarities album Prime Numbers (2014). Members included Giorgio Santandrea, Alessandro "Pacho" Rossi, Fabio Rigamonti, and Diego Mariani.
