Norma Aparecida Almeida Pinto Guimarães d'Áurea Bengell, known as Norma Bengell, was a Brazilian singer and songwriter born on February 21, 1935, in Rio de Janeiro. She began her music career in the early 1950s performing in revue theater. The artist released her debut album Ooooooh! Norma in 1959. During the 1960s, Bengell sang in shows by Tom Jobim, João Gilberto, Vinicius de Moraes, and Roberto Menescal. Her second album Norma Canta Mulheres was released in 1977. She died on October 9, 2013, in Rio de Janeiro.
