Osvaldo Bellinghieri, known professionally as Osvaldo Berlingieri, was born on February 20, 1928, in Haedo, Buenos Aires, Argentina. He started his musical career by studying at a conservatory and later refined his skills by listening to tango musicians. Berlingieri's professional debut came in 1944 when he joined the orchestra accompanying singer Héctor Mauré at the Marabú club. In 1957, he joined Aníbal Troilo's orchestra, replacing Osvaldo Manzi, and remained until 1968. Berlingieri also played with musicians such as Leopoldo Federico, Alberto García, and Roberto Goyeneche in groups like Los Notables del Tango and Los Modernos. He contributed to Café de los Maestros Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, produced by Gustavo Santaolalla, which won the Grammy Latino for Best Tango Album in 2005. Berlingieri passed away on February 8, 2015, in Buenos Aires.
