From Ashes Rise was an American neo-crust band formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 1997. The group initially consisted of Dave Atchison on drums, Brad Boatright and Jeff Andrews on guitars, Jason Piercey on bass, and Marshall Perdue on vocals. Their first release was the EP Fragments Of A Fallen Sky in 1998. After several lineup changes, including the departure of Piercey and Perdue and the addition of Billy Davis on bass, From Ashes Rise released their self-titled debut album in 2000. The band was known for its aggressive sound, drawing on obscure hardcore bands from Scandinavia and Japan. They also released notable albums such as Nightmares (2003) on Jade Tree and Live Hell in 2010. From Ashes Rise disbanded in 2005 but reunited in 2009 for live performances and festival appearances.
