...And the Native Hipsters was an English experimental music group formed in London in 1979 by William Wilding and Blatt (Nanette Greenblatt). They gained initial recognition with their 1980 single "There Goes Concorde Again", which reached number 5 on the UK Independent Charts. The song was also featured extensively by BBC Radio 1 DJ John Peel and later included in New Musical Express' NME Writers 100 Best Indie Singles Ever in 1992. In 1982, they released the four-track EP Tenderly Hurt Me. By the mid-1980s, they had stopped recording but saw a resurgence of interest in 2001 when Rough Trade included "There Goes Concorde Again" in their box set Rough Trade Shops – 25 Years, leading to the release of There Goes Concorde Again... (2001) and Songs to Protest About (2006).
