Gaiteiros de Lisboa is a Portuguese band founded in 1991 by Paulo Marinho, known for promoting Galician and Portuguese bagpipe culture. The group's debut album, Invasões Bárbaras, was released in 1995, followed by Bocas do Inferno in 1997. Subsequent albums include Dança Chamas (2000), Macareu (2002), Sátiro (2006), Avis Rara (2012), A História (2017), and Bestiário (2019). Gaiteiros de Lisboa gained significant recognition with their selection for the WOMEX festival in 2007 and their extensive performances across Portugal and Europe. The band has also been a prominent participant in national music projects and festivals, contributing to the preservation and promotion of traditional Portuguese music.
