Berrogüetto, a Spanish folk rock band from Galicia, was formed in 1996. The group's members primarily came from the disbanded Matto Congrio, which included Carlos Núñez. Berrogüetto's name is derived from the combination of "berro" (shout or protest) and "gueto," reflecting their mission to give voice to the voiceless, inspired by Soweto during apartheid. Their debut album, Navicularia, released in 1996, marked a significant shift in the folk music scene with its innovative blend of traditional melodies and modern harmonizations. Subsequent albums include Hepta (2001) and 10.0 (2006). Berrogüetto's final album, Kosmogonías, was released in 2010. The band announced its disbandment in 2014, concluding with a farewell tour across major cities in Galicia.
