Os Vips was a Brazilian rock and iê-iê-iê vocal group from São Paulo formed in 1965 by brothers Ronald Antonucci and Márcio Vip Antonucci. Before performing as a duo, they appeared solo as Ronald Red and Jett Williams. Following an appearance on the television program Festival dos Bairros in 1964, they established the ensemble. The group took its name from the 1963 film Os Vips. Their debut recording, “Tonight”, appeared on the 1964 compilation Reino da Juventude. The duo released songs including “Emoção” (1965), “A volta” (1966), and “É preciso saber viver” (1968). They also recorded covers of Beatles tracks such as “Menina linda” and “Michelle”. In 1970, they returned to Continental as Márcio e Ronaldo. The ensemble was active until 2014. Márcio Vip Antonucci died on January 20, 2014. Ronald Antonucci died on June 22, 2024.
