Die Tornados, a German ska and surf band, were formed in Dessau in 1995. The group's early releases included singles such as "Die Tornados" (1997) and "Flower & Bee" (1998), which helped establish their sound rooted in the rock 'n' roll of the 1950s. Their debut album Heartbeat was released in 2001, followed by Go Out and Dance in 2006. The band gained significant traction through numerous concerts across Europe and became one of Germany's key ska bands. Other notable releases include the EP Heidi (2003), split albums with Skarface and Curlee Wurlee, and their final album Young Guns Against Old Rockers (2014). Die Tornados officially disbanded following a concert at Leipzig’s Felsenkeller on April 29, 2019.
