Malena Burke, born September 15, 1958, in Havana, Cuba, is a Cuban singer who began her musical studies at age eight. She graduated from the Amadeo Roldan Conservatory and debuted professionally at the Hotel Nacional de Cuba to perform for Casino Parisien's anniversary. She was eventually selected to perform as a headliner at the Tropicana Club, performing internationally for five years. Burke also collaborated with the Cuban musical group NG La Banda, which led to the release of the album De Noche Con Malena Burke Y Ng La Bandain 1990. She also released a collaboration album with her mother, Elena Burke, titled Contigo En La Distancia, in 2002. Malena Burke traveled extensively, including locations such as New York City, Los Angeles, and countries like Argentina, Germany, Finland, and more, to perform her songs.
