Lourdes Robles is a Puerto Rican-American singer and actress born on October 18, 1972, in San Juan. She began her career in the early 1980s as a member of the duo Lourdes y Carlos. After appearing in the television series Barrio Cuatro Calles, she won third place at the 1985 Festival del Sol with her composition “No soy distinta”. That same year, she released her eponymous debut album, Lourdes Robles, which included the tracks “Tú llegaste” and “Hasta ahora”. Robles signed with Sony Records and released the 1990 album Imágenes, which received a gold record and reached Number 1 on the Billboard charts. In 1995, she participated in the recording HeyJude: Tributo a los Beatles. Robles released the albums Cielo de acuarela in 1998 and Es algo más in 2010. Following her 2011 role in the musical Evita, she released the recording Delirio in 2013.
