Sven-Åke Högberg, known professionally as Hank C. Burnette, is a Swedish guitarist and singer born on December 12, 1944, in Nilsvallen, Sweden. He began his musical journey at the age of 13 when he formed his first band, Teddy & The Teddy Bears, in Umeå. In 1960, after moving to Oxelösund, Högberg set up a home studio and started recording rock 'n' roll standards under the pseudonym Hank C. Burnette, inspired by musicians Hank Williams, Chet Atkins, and Johnny Burnette. His early releases included singles such as "Hank´s Guitar Boogie Special" (1967) and "Rock with Me Baby" (1972). In 1967, he signed with the American label Blue Horizon. Throughout his career, Hank C. Burnette released numerous albums including She Sure Can Rock Me (EP - 1973), The Hank C. Burnette Sound (1973), and Spinnin' Rock Boogie (1974). His instrumental track "Spinning Rock Boogie" from the album Don't Mess With My Ducktail (1976) gained international recognition. Other notable releases include Rockabilly Gasseroonie - The Legendary Hank C. Burnette (1977), Hot Licks And Fancy Tricks (1979), and The Original One Man Rockabilly Band (1980). In 2002, he released Straight From The Hip followed by Blast from the Past in 2006.
