Joshua Kit Clayton, known professionally as Kit Clayton, is a San Francisco-based electronic and digital musician. His work often incorporated elements of ambient computer music and glitch, utilizing Max/MSP and Jitter extensively in his compositions. He began his career with early releases such as "The Mimic and the Model #1" (1998) and The Angular Adventures of Kit Clayton in the Land of Sound and Shape EP (1998). He released several notable albums including Live on Shortwave Radio (1999), Repetition & Nonsense (1999), and Lateral Forces (Surface Fault) (2001). In 2000, Clayton founded Orthlorng Musork, a label that released seminal works by artists such as AGF and Kevin Blechdom until its closure in 2004.
