Antonio Janigro, born in 1918 in Milan, Italy, was an Italian cellist and conductor. After the war, his career included performances as a soloist across South America and the Far East, as well as collaborations with conductors like Erich Kleiber and Fritz Reiner. In 1953, he founded the chamber orchestra I Solisti di Zagreb in Croatia. His notable recordings include Don Quichotte by Richard Strauss with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra under Fritz Reiner in 1959. Janigro passed away in 1989 in Milan.
