Peppe Voltarelli, born on December 26, 1969 in Cosenza, Italy, is an Italian singer-songwriter, actor, and writer. In 1990, he founded the experimental folk-rock band Il parto delle nuvole pesanti, serving as its lead vocalist until 2005. The group's debut album, Alisifare, marked their breakthrough, followed by notable works like "Raggia" and "Lupu", which helped define the tarantella punk genre. After leaving the band in 2005, Voltarelli embarked on a solo career with his first album Distratto Ma Però, released in 2007. This album featured collaborations with notable artists such as Pau of Negrita and Roy Paci. His subsequent albums include Ultima Notte A Malá Strana (2010) and Lamentarsi Come Ipotesi (2014). Voltarelli's work has been recognized with three Tenco Awards, including the 2010 award for best album in dialect for Ultima Notte A Malá Strana.
