Medicine8, a British electronic music duo, comprises brothers Liam May and Luke May, born in England. The pair began DJing and producing under various aliases while running their own imprint and adopted the Medicine8 name after a 12″ release titled Capital Rocka in 1996. Their breakthrough came with the 2003 single "Capital Rocka" and the 2003 album Iron Stylings, released on Regal Recordings; the album spawned "Rock Music Pays Off", attracting the attention of club legends such as Carl Cox, who played "Capital Rocka" at the Miami Winter Music Conference. Medicine8 followed with the 2007 single "Transmission One" as well as "The Flea/Kim Chi 45" and "Gimme What You've Got". They performed at major UK festivals including Glastonbury, Creamfields and Homelands, held a residency at Pacha in Argentina, and remixed tracks for Kylie Minogue, Orbital and Tiga. In 2011 they released the single "Capital Rocka" and "Rock Music Pays Off" (Hip-House Remix) and began work on a second album while operating their own label, Trashmouth Records.
