Poncho is an Argentine electronic‑rock group formed in 2009, consisting of DJ and producer Javier Zuker, guitarist Leandro Lopatín of Turf, and Fabián Picciano. The trio, whose name references a traditional South American garment, began collaborating in the local club scene, blending production, composition, and live instrumentation. Their debut album Ponchototal was released on 15 September 2009 through Sony BMG, featuring synth‑pop tracks with electronic‑rock elements and guest appearances by Luis Alberto Spinetta, Banda de Turistas, and Shannon Funchess. In 2012, the band expanded the material with the remix compilation Ponchototal + Remixes (29 June 2012) and followed with the studio album Carnaval (9 April 2013), which included collaborations with Chano Moreno of Tan Biónica and Boom Boom Kid. The singles "Please Me" (2011) and "Take My Hand" (2012) received airplay and video promotion. Poncho’s work has been noted for its presence in Argentine club culture and its integration of international producers like Paul Oakenfold and Justin Robertson.
