Mackintosh Braun, an electropop group from Portland, Oregon, was formed in 2006 when Ian Mackintosh and Ben Braun began collaborating after a chance encounter through Ben's father. The duo quickly released their debut album The Sound in 2007, which included the track "Wake Up" featured on the TV show Chuck. This exposure led to their signing with Chop Shop Records/Atlantic Records. Their subsequent albums include Where We Are (2010), released under Chop Shop/Atlantic Records, and Arcadia (2015), released under Chop Shop/Island Records. Notable achievements include placements in films like The Beaver and TV shows such as How to Make It in America, Grey's Anatomy, and Gossip Girl. Ben Braun also released a solo album, Silent Science, in 2017 under his own name.
