Rainbow Ffolly were an English psychedelic pop band formed in 1968. The group consisted of Jonathan Dunsterville and his brother Richard Dunsterville on vocals and guitar, Roger Newell on bass and vocals, and Stewart Osborn on drums and vocals. Initially known as the Force Four, they transitioned into Rainbow Ffolly after meeting at college and forming a new lineup in 1967. The band signed with EMI's subsidiary Parlophone and released their debut album Sallies Fforth in 1968. Their only single from that year, "Drive My Car", failed to chart despite high-visibility gigs including performances at the Star Club in Hamburg and the Playboy Club in London. The band disbanded by the end of 1968 due to lack of sales and earnings from live performances. In 2015, Rainbow Ffolly reunited to record a follow-up album titled Rainbow Ffolly – FFollow Up!. Roger Newell died on September 10, 2021.
