The Gods

The Gods, an English rock band formed in 1965, consisted of guitarist Mick Taylor, drummer Brian Glascock, bassist John Glascock, keyboardist Ken Hensley, and Joe Konas. The band's early career included a residency at the Marquee Club in London and opening for Cream. Their first single, "Come on Down to My Boat Baby", was released on Polydor Records in 1967. Mick Taylor left to join John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, marking a significant shift in the band's lineup. The Gods continued with various members, including Lee Kerslake and Greg Lake, releasing their debut album Genesis in 1968 and their second album, To Samuel a Son, in 1969. The band disbanded in 1970.
