When he released his first single under his own name in 2012, "Señorita", Djaka was by no means an unknown. In fact, he's already a regular on the SNEP chart, having joined Ze Pequeño in 2006 and Black Mamba in 2007. Djaka began playing reggae and dancehall in 1998, before taking part in various projects on Kool Shen's IV My People label. Djaka also appeared on the soundtracks of the films Double zéro and Dans tes rêves. After a break of several years, it's under the banner of festive reggaeton that Djaka forces the door of the club hit in autumn 2012 with "Señorita".
