Christoph Hartmann (born February 2, 1965) was a German classical oboist from Landsberg am Lech. Hartmann began playing the oboe at age 13 and studied under Georg Fischer at the Leopold-Mozart-Konservatorium Augsburg. Hartmann later completed a Masterclass Diploma at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München under Günther Passin. In 1991, Hartmann became the solo oboist of the Stuttgarter Philharmoniker and joined the Berliner Philharmoniker in 1992. Hartmann began teaching at the Orchester-Akademie der Berliner Philharmoniker in 1993. In 1999, Hartmann founded the chamber music festival Landsberger Sommermusiken, which led to the formation of the Ensemble Berlin. Hartmann released the albums Fantasia Italiana (2007) and Bella Napoli (2008), featuring the compositions of Antonio Pasculli. Hartmann won awards at international competitions in Toulon, Geneva, and Tokyo. In 2008, Hartmann received the Dominikus Zimmermann Rocaille in gold from the city of Landsberg am Lech.
