Joyce Irene Grenfell was an English singer and entertainer. She found success in a West End revue in 1939 after performing a comic monologue. This breakthrough led to a career performing in theaters across five continents between 1940 and 1969. Films featuring her work included The Happiest Days of Your Life (1950) and the St Trinian's series. Grenfell collaborated with Richard Addinsell on songs including “I’m Going to See You Today” and “Turn Back the Clock”. Albums include Presenting Joyce Grenfell (1960) and The New Joyce Grenfell Collection (1978). She died in 1979.
