Help Yourself, an English rock band from London formed in 1970, initially served as a backing group for singer-songwriter Malcolm Morley. The band's debut album, Help Yourself, released in 1971, featured Morley alongside Dave Charles, Richard Treece, and Ken Whaley. After touring with Brinsley Schwarz and Ernie Graham, the band released their second album, Strange Affair, in 1972. Despite moderate success in the U.S., particularly among fans of the Grateful Dead and Quicksilver Messenger Service, Help Yourself disbanded in 1973 after releasing The Return of Ken Whaley and while they were working on their next album. They reunited briefly for a concert in 1974 but did not release new material until 2004 with the album 5, which featured drumming by Kevin Spacey.
