La Cherga, a German-Austrian world music group, was formed in 2006 by Nevenko Bucán and Muamer Gazibegović. The band consists of six musicians originally from the former Yugoslavia who came together in Germany and Austria. La Cherga's debut release was the album Fake No More (26 September 2008). Their second studio album, Revolve, was released in 2011, featuring new lead vocalist Adisa Zvekic. The band's music is characterized by a blend of Balkan and international influences, incorporating elements of dub, reggae, ska, Balkan brass, jazz vocals, Jamaican grooves, electronic beats, and on Revolve, also funk, soul, and drum ’n’ bass. La Cherga has been signed to Asphalt Tango Records.
