Wohnraumhelden, a German rock band formed in Hannover in 2002, consisted of Christof Stein-Schneider and Fabian Schulz. The duo emerged from a jam session at Schulz's apartment, leading to the formation of their band. Their debut album Welthits was released in 2003. The band gained regional attention through protests against the Niedersächsisches Nichtraucherschutzgesetz, for which they wrote "Wir sind der Rauch". Wohnraumhelden were known to support various causes, including global climate protection and local solidarity efforts. They frequently performed as a supporting act for Torfrock and at open-air festivals, often using their mobile stage, an adapted Piaggio Ape. Notable releases included Die Rückkehr der Wohnraumhelden (2005), "Jetzt mal im Ernst" EP (2006), and Rock'n'Roll Puppentheater (2011). In 2014, they embarked on a tour titled "Welttournee," which was broadcast by NDR. The band also released a compilation album titled Das Beste.
