Waterloo & Robinson, an Austrian pop and schlager music duo, were formed in 1969 by Hans Kreuzmayr and Sepp Krassnitzer. Both were musicians in Linz at the time. They began performing together under the name the Edward Brothers before releasing their third single "Du kannst sehen" in 1971. Their breakthrough came with the release of "Baby Blue" and "Hollywood", which reached the top five of the Ö3 hit-parade in June 1974. The duo represented Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 1976 with "My Little World", finishing fifth.
Throughout the late 1970s, Waterloo & Robinson released several albums, including Sing My Song (1974), Unsere Lieder (1975), and Wild, Wild Land (1978). Their song "Do You Remember Marianne" became a gold record in Germany in 1979. Despite their success abroad, internal disputes led to their separation in 1981. Hans Kreuzmayr pursued a solo career under the name Waterloo, while Sepp Krassnitzer focused on producing emerging artists. Waterloo & Robinson reunited for concerts in 1989 and 1990 before parting ways again. In 2004, they attempted to return to the Eurovision Song Contest with "You Can Change the World", but finished second. Their final collaboration was a cover of "Live Is Life", which reached number one on the Austrian charts in 2002. The duo officially disbanded in 2007.
