Sic Alps, a garage rock band from San Francisco, California, was formed in 2004 by Mike Donovan and Adam Stonehouse. The group initially released music on independent labels such as Siltbreeze and Drag City. Their early releases included the albums Pleasures and Treasures (2006) and A Long Way Around to a Shortcut (2008), along with the EP Fool's Mag (2008). In 2011, Sic Alps released their full-length album Napa Asylum, which was followed by Sic Alps in 2012. The band also released several notable singles, including "L. Mansion" (2009), and collaborated with other artists such as Ty Segall. After disbanding in 2013, individual members pursued various projects, including Mike Donovan's solo work produced by Ty Segall and his formation of the band Peacers with ex-members of Thee Oh Sees.
