Quando Quango, a British electronic music group, was formed by Mike Pickering, Hillegonda Rietveld, and Reinier Rietveld. Their first release, "Go Exciting", came out in 1982 on Factory Records. The group moved to Manchester, England, where they became associated with The Haçienda nightclub and released several singles including "Love Tempo" (1983), which reached number 4 on the US Billboard Dance Chart, and "Atom Rock" (1985). In 1985, Quando Quango released their full-length album Pigs + Battleships, featuring collaborations with Johnny Marr, Vini Reilly, Andy Connell, and Beverley McDonald. The group recorded additional material with notable guests such as Lisa Stansfield and Stephen Morris in 1986.
