Click Click, a British electro-industrial band, was formed in 1982 by Adrian Smith and Derek E. Smith after their previous rock project Those Nervous Surgeons. The duo's direction shifted dramatically after acquiring a synthesizer, leading to their first experimental synth-rock incarnation. They released their debut single later that year and adopted the name Click Click inspired by an antique electric light switch. Influenced by artists such as Brian Eno and Cabaret Voltaire, Click Click continued down a more electronic path with various members, including Richard Camp, Jon Morris, Graham Stronach, and Pete Hosier. The band achieved notable success with tracks like "Sweet Stuff", which was featured on the This is Electronic Body Music compilation in 1985. They released several albums, including Rorschach Testing (1988) and Bent Massive (1989), and toured extensively. After disbanding around 1990, Adrian Smith and Derek E. Smith reformed briefly in 1997 to record the album Shadowblack.
