Swamp Terrorists was a Swiss electro-industrial music group formed in 1988 by Michael Antener (a.k.a. STR), Ane Hebeisen (a.k.a. Ane H.), and Francis Halioua. Their music blended harsh electro-industrial beats with grinding metal guitar riffs and occasional rapping. Their first EP, He Is Guilty (1989), was released on 150 BPM Records. Following the departure of Halioua, Antener and Hebeisen recorded their debut album, Grim – Stroke – Disease (1990). They toured Europe extensively from 1991 to 1992 and released subsequent albums including Combat Shock (1993) on Alfa International/Contempo and Killer (1996) on Metropolis Records. They collaborated with various artists, notably DJ Killroy, and produced remixes for other bands. They disbanded in 1999 after releasing the live album Five in Japan (1997) and the compilation Rare & Unreleased (1999). They had a dedicated following in Brazil.
