Sophie Pacini is a German-Italian pianist born on December 12, 1991, in Munich. She began playing the piano at age six and performed her concert debut in 2000. She was a student of Karl-Heinz Kämmerling and Pavel Gililov at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, where she graduated with honors in 2011. Pacini performed at venues including the Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Wigmore Hall in London, and the Philharmonie Berlin. Her discography included the 2012 recording Mozart – Schumann: Concertos pour piano and the album Solo Piano (2016). In 2020, she released the album Rimembranza, which reached number 38 on the German charts. She collaborated with clarinetist Pablo Barragán on the 2022 recording Boundless. Pacini established the festival Nuancen in 2023 and became a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. Her later work included the studio recordings Puzzle (2023) and bittersweet (2025). She received the ECHO Klassik award for Newcomer of the Year in 2015.
