ACWL, a French rock band formed in Paris, initially gained traction with their self-produced debut album. In 2001, they signed with M10 and released an eponymous album, which included the single "À l'absent" whose music video was aired on MCM, propelling ACWL into the spotlight of the French rock scene. They performed at notable venues such as La Maroquinerie and the Printemps de Bourges festival, and supported Indochine on tour, including a show at Bercy in 2003. Their second album, Une vie plus tard, released in 2005, featured hits like "Embrasse-moi" and "Quand viendra l'heure", the latter a duet with Nicola Sirkis. The band's third album, Le Chemin du ciel, was released in 2009, followed by an acoustic tour. In 2012, they released their fourth album, L'Être ange démon. ACWL's fifth album, Internel, came out in 2016. Tragically, founding member Jean passed away on April 2, 2019.
