Sverre Indris Joner, born on July 19, 1963 in Oslo, Norway, is a pianist known for popularizing Latin American music in his home country. Raised in Bergen, Joner graduated from the University of Oslo and the Cervantes Conservatory in Havana, Cuba. He frequently performed on piano and percussion, leading to collaborations with various symphony orchestras including those in Norway, Germany (Bremen, Dresden, Berlin), and the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Joner was particularly noted for his adaptations of European classical music pieces, such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Eine kleine Nachtmusik" and Ludwig van Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, which he often performed with groups Hovedøen Social Club and La Descarga. He has also composed and arranged music for stage and screen. Joner released the album Clásicos A Lo Cubano in 2011.
