Václav Janda, also known as Dalibor Janda, born on March 21, 1953, in Hranice, Czechoslovakia, is a Czech composer, lyricist, and pop and rock singer. He began his music career in the late 1970s and gained significant popularity in the 1980s under the name Dalibor Janda. His breakthrough came with the release of Hurikán (1986) with Prototyp, marking the start of a prolific discography that includes notable albums such as Kde jsi? (1987), Deset prstů pro život (1988), and Take them to Mars (1988). Between 1986 and 1988, Janda won the Zlatý slavík award three consecutive years. His later works include Já se přiznám (2011) and Někde v zemi nad zemí (2016), showcasing his enduring presence in Czech pop music.
