Carl Seemann, born May 8, 1910, in Bremen, Germany was a German pianist known for his contributions to classical music. He studied church music in Leipzig under Karl Straube and Günther Ramin and began his career as an organist before transitioning to a full-time pianist and teacher by the mid-1930s. Seemann held professorships in Kiel, Strasbourg, and Freiburg, where he also served as director of the State Academy of Music from 1964 to 1974.
