Architechs, a UK garage duo consisting of brothers Paul Akabah and Ashley Akabah, originated from England. The group initially formed as a trio with producer Kevin Williams, known as K-Warren, who left in 1999. Architechs gained international attention in 1998 after producing a UK garage remix of "The Boy Is Mine" by Brandy and Monica, selling over 40,000 copies of the bootleg. Following K-Warren's departure, Paul Akabah and Ashley Akabah continued to remix tracks for various artists including All Saints, Gabrielle, Faithless, Garbage, Beenie Man, Inaya Day, and Jamelia. They collaborated with singer Nana on their commercially successful singles "Body Groove" (2000) and "Show Me The Money" (2000), as part of the EPs Body Groove and Show Me The Money. Several of their tracks were featured on the compilation series Pure Garage. Ashley Akabah passed away on February 2, 2020, in Notting Hill, West London at the age of 49. Paul Akabah participated in the 2024 series of the business-themed reality show The Apprentice, and subsequently announced his retirement from music due to severe tinnitus.
