The German DJ and producer Tobias Topic was born in 1992 and brought up in Hessen near to Frankfurt am Main. As a teenager, he began to experiment with music production using the Logic programme and built up a number of musician contacts through YouTube. He gained a reputation as a producer following his work with the artists Kayef and Liont - producing their respective albums 'Relics of Last Night' and `Lion Child'.

In 2014 Topic began to release his own material and his debut single 'Light' accrued more than a million views. He issued his first album the following year titled 'Miles' and this made the charts in both Germany and Austria. The 2016 single 'Home' which featured Nico Santos on vocals has been his most his most successful release and has sold well in Germany, Austria and Australia - eventually receiving a platinum accreditation.

So far, 'Miles' remains the artist's only album release and during recent years he has concentrated solely on single releases.
