The song "Ritmo de la Noche" is a festive hit from 1990. The original version was written by the Belgian dance trio Mystic. It's a Latin house-oriented dance track with elements of Peggy Lee's "I Go to Rio" (1976). In France, it was popularized in the summer of 1990 by the group Lorca. Although the song got people up and dancing during the summer period, it settled for 22nd place in the charts. The album Ritmo de la Noche was a total flop. Despite this result, "Ritmo de la Noche" remains in the immaterial pantheon of "summer hits" decades later.
