Haddy N'Jie

Mona Haddy Jatou Njie, known professionally as Haddy N'Jie, was born on June 25, 1979, in Oslo, Norway. She is a singer and songwriter who began her career after discovering her passion for singing during a stay in Granada, Spain, in December 2000. Her breakthrough came with the release of her debut album White Lies in 2005. N'Jie continued to build her musical career with subsequent albums including Welcome Home (2009) and World of the Free (2010). She also ventured into theater, joining the comedy group Queendom, which focused on societal satire. In addition to her music, N'Jie has worked as a journalist for NRK's Dagsrevyen and as a columnist for Dagbladet. She moderated notable events such as the 55th Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo (2010) and the central memorial service following the Norway attacks of 2011.
